The Journal of Communication Practices (JCP)
is an international multidisciplinary research journal for professionals
in the fields of TESL, corporate communication, technical communication, business-communication education, and communication
and translation studies. It aims at providing a forum for the exchange of academic experiences, ideas and information among
professionals in these areas and seeks to synthesize the theoretical as well as methodological principles and practical concerns.
Although
the focus of the journal is on the teaching of communication in different professional settings, it is multidisciplinary in
approach and scope. It supports and develops investigation and research within several areas of language and communication.
It seeks to break down barriers that have isolated language professionals from others concerned with pedagogy and teaching
of corporate and professional communication and other related areas.
JCP intends to function as a valuable resource for teachers, researchers, teacher-trainers,
communication consultants, ESP and EAP experts, and textbook writers as it offers a wide range of scholarship that probes
current problems and methods, including research articles presenting the latest results of research in ELT/communication teaching
and training; commentaries addressing issues of importance to the profession; book reviews containing critical examinations
of significant books in the area; and comments and responses highlighting exchanges between readers and authors.

· International
in focus, publishing work from countries worldwide;
· Interdisciplinary,
encouraging work which seeks to explore different dimensions of language and communication; and
· Innovative,
seeking to stimulate new avenues of enquiry, including 'action' research, classroom research and student-based research. JCP is a fully refereed journal as each article undergoes a review by at least two members of the Editorial Board of
the journal, and one external expert. Their decisions are based upon the academic and research relevance, clarity, and value
of the articles and reviews submitted.
